Boat Rental Tips You Should Know About.

Boating is an activity that most people do not indulge in very often. However, there is a group of people who value boating as a way to pass the time only once for a while. For the boat lovers, it would be feasible to rent a boat instead of spending a lot of money buying one. With boat rentals, you will not have to bother themselves with the maintenance of the boat or the insurance policy. All you will have to consider is the time they will need the boat.

Renting a boat especially for those who are doing it for the first time can be very challenging.

Below we are going to look at boat rental tips for the holidays.

1. Licenses and Regulations

For boaters, every country or state has their set rules and license regulations. You find that boat rentals are required to have a boat license, which helps the rentals to limit the number of customers on a boat. Usually, the number of people allowed in a boat is based on the charter selected.

2. Reserve a Boat Earlier

During the holiday season, the demand for boats is quite higher than in winter. You might find it harder to get a boat that is not booked. This is why it is advisable to make a boat reservation ahead of time. As soon as you confirm the dates of your holiday, you should have a boat reserved.

3. Consider Your Needs

Another tip when renting a boat for holidays is to make your selection based on what you want the boat for. For example, not all types of boats would be suitable for fishing. Always ensure you go for an ideal boat according to your requirements. If you are not an experienced person with boat riding renting a fast boat is not usually a good idea.

4. Choose a Well-Maintained Boat

The boat you select to hire must be in a very good condition. In simple words, make sure you pick a boat that doesn’t have defects. Well, how will you know the boat is in good condition? If the building of the company you are hiring from is well maintained, this can be a pointer that the boat is in good condition and vice versa.

5. Safety Equipment

Finally, remember that safety is of paramount importance. Safety is the most important element of our lives. So, ensure that the boat you choose has all the required safety equipment. It is also worth to note that the law does not allow us to use boats that don’t meet all the safety requirements.

3 of the Most Awesome Extreme Sports

3 of the Most Awesome Extreme Sports

I think you’ll agree with me:

Extreme sports are the best way to pump up your adrenaline level! These sports are not like any other sport out there, the sportsmen life face constant danger and just a tiny mistake can lead to a tragic death. But nobody wants to risk their lives for a pump of adrenaline… Right?

NO! Let’s take a look at the 3 of the Most Awesome Extreme Sports!

1. Base Jumping

I’m wondering what was in the head of the man (I’m gonna guess it’s a man, haha) that did the first base jump, I mean he was looking at this tall building, probably sitting on his Harley with a 10 inch beard on his face and a beer in his hand and he said to his friend; “Bro, let’s jump from that building with a parachute, that’ll be so damn cool!” Anyways, base jumping is first in our top 3 simply because it’s the most dangerous sport in the world! A person dies every 2.317 jumps. Basically, you climb a tall structure (building, antenna, bridge etc), you jump from it with a parachute tied to your back and you deploy the parachute a few seconds before you hit the ground, a little malfunction or just bad luck leads to certain death.

What’s the bottom line? Although it’s a great, great sport you should never try it unless you have a lot of training, experience, and a good insurance policy.  Check out this jump in Dubai!

2. Wingsuit Flying

If you ever dreamt of flying through the air like a bald eagle then this is the sport for you! Wingsuit Flying involves jumping from a plane or a tall structure with a crazy-looking wingsuit and a parachute for landing. The fact that makes this sport so cool is that we, as humans, always had this dream of flying like a bird. But before you get all hyped up, let’s don’t forget that this is also a very dangerous sport. The sportsmen often fly meters away from a cliff, and a sudden gust of wind could smash him against the rocks. The wingsuit was developed in the late 1990’s. However, the first attempt was made on 4 February 1912 when the tailor Franz Reichelt jumped from the Eiffel Tower with a combination of wings and parachute, but unfortunately, he hit the ground head first and died.

3. Ice Climbing

Chances are if you live in a place with extreme winter conditions you know what this is about. Ice climbing is pretty much similar to rock climbing, the main differences being the equipment, and that you climb icefalls, frozen cliffs, and slabs of ice. Although this sport has become safer than it used to be thanks to modern equipment, it still takes a lot of fitness to deal with the harsh, sub-zero conditions. If you want to begin ice climbing, there are a lot of clubs out there that offers guidance and lessons on how you should choose and tackle the terrain.

Even in Extreme Sports Safety Comes First

Extreme sports need the highest adherence to safety measures for the participants, even in extreme sports safety comes first. Some of the most common things they have to do are as follows.

This does not only have to be a coach. You can also have experts inspect the equipment of the sport to know when safety is compromised and you need to stop. It is also wise to have friends and or family with you in case of any major incidences and for support.

3. Get protective gear

Light protective clothing, padding or any other recommended type of protective clothing for you sport should be acquired to make sure that you will suffer less or no injuries while participating in the sport.

4. Classes first

If there are any safety classes to be taken prior to the participation, it is best that you attend each one to know what to do at certain incidences. You could also take notes and create awareness among other participants to help each other.

5. Fall on your side or bottom

If you find yourself in a situation where you fall from a far distance, try to land on your side or buttocks. It is also better to find a way to shorten your fall or make it in stages by landing on different platforms so that the impact is not so great. Momentum is broken by different level landings and there is less damage unless there are sharp rocks involved

6. Do not do it if you are not 100% okay

You need to be at your best to participate in any kind of extreme sport. It needs that you are sharp and ready for anything. If you feel sick or exhausted, do not risk it because chances are it will not be worth the hurt or your life. Make sure to consult your doctor before you do participate in extreme sports so that they can deem you fit or unfit to play.

7. The weather will tell

Any sports that involve the weather like skydiving should be done at the appropriate time. Surfers should also be weary of really bad storms even when participating in the extreme sports. Have an expert tell you whether or not it is wise to do it, and the chances of getting badly injured if you do. Mother nature is nothing to joke with. It can be unforgiving and harsh.

8. Get insured

This goes for all the participants. It will be helpful especially when you do have the equipment or a family and you experience an accident. It helps you get back up on your feet in good time and is the best type of security for everyone in such sports.
